Today has been a big day in my world of blogging. You most likely won't be hearing from me for some time after tonight because I'll be returning to my hermit hole for the remainder of the week. As I put the finishing touches on my dress muslin and sew on the buttons I'll be able to start the final garment with the real material!
This project is one of the biggest because the whole winter semester for this class hs been leading up to that final dress which is waiting to be soon cut out.
If you're wondering why the dress in the picture is a really bland and not-so-pleasing fabric it's because in the fashion world we design a dress, make a pattern, cut out a test fabric from muslin (a basic, rough cotton like here) then make any corrections and see the fit before we touch the expensive fabric the final will be sewn from.
